One of the places they played was the famous 'Marquee' in Wardour Street, London, where back in the 60s Roy had played many times with The Move.
Another London gig was at 'The Venue'
Students used to design thier own posters to promote any bands that played a gig at their University
When Roy toured in 1982 the line up for Helicopters had changed.The band (pictured here in the grounds of Gothersley Hall) now featured original member Jon Camp on bass, Roy, and new boys - guitarist Robin George, Tom Farnell on drums and Terry Rowley on keyboards
